Reason for Joining YoCo: I wanted to be part of representing teenagers and helping bring understanding to the thoughts and ideas that we have. I also am interested in becoming a social worker, so I feel like this program will give me a sense of what the job may look like.

Reason For Joining YoCo: All my life I've had a love for psychology but YoCo stood out to me because it uses teens to research adolescent mental health and substance abuse. I appreciate that the founder wanted to get first hand experience for their research because being an adolescent in our current digital world is different from even 10 years ago.

Youth Coalition

We are a youth-led program for youth age 13-18 years old in the Indianapolis area focused on mental health and substance use prevention. We are housed in the Indiana University School of Medicine and work to elevate youth voice to inform research, develop mental health initiatives, and engage with our community.
